Ben Cruachan Guest House
During the Covid period, Renée Turner Interiors had the privilege of redesigning Ben Cruachan Guest House in Edinburgh. The project began just before lockdown and resumed afterwards, making it a truly memorable journey for both designer and client. Despite the challenges, the result was a guest house that feels welcoming, characterful and perfectly aligned with the charm of Edinburgh.
The design concept was built around the distinctive style of Mairi Helena wallpapers and fabrics, whose bold patterns and colours celebrate Scotland’s landscapes and heritage. These prints became the foundation for the interiors, inspiring choices in furnishings, textures and palettes throughout the guest rooms and shared spaces. By combining these statement pieces with carefully curated lighting, furniture and accessories, the overall atmosphere became both stylish and inviting, offering guests a boutique hotel experience with a strong sense of place.
Since reopening, Ben Cruachan Guest House has received glowing reviews from visitors who praise the warm hospitality, beautiful interiors and attention to detail.
Guests frequently comment on the individuality of the rooms and the way the décor elevates their stay, making it far more memorable than a standard hotel.
